observations of a dreamer

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

i am wife to one, mother of two, sister to many, a musician, a blog addict, …..a hopeless dreamer.

i love to decorate life, create something beautiful from something so ordinary.  i always use fresh ingredients, believe somethings are beyond words, won't rush the situation, and never settle.  i ADORE dark chocolate and coffee.  i wake up everyday to see something Ive never noticed before!

great photography begs time to stand still.  it captures authentic life.  outdoor light creates spectacular images.  portraits are an investment.  photography is jump for JOY happy for me!

my style is fresh, candid, compelling, casual and unexpected.

my goal is to suspend time, capture you with stunning results, and capture something priceless, charming, or hilarious.

show up with playful grins, ready to be real, relax, and have fun.

just a girl with a camera, read to shoot photos of loveliness!

Photography

Friday, November 20th, 2009

To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.   Elliott Erwitt

Artist Statement

A belief in capturing everyday life in beautiful and unexpected ways, drives my art.  My inspiration comes from being awake enough to recognize a compelling story just waiting to be told.  My style is fresh, candid, and full of light.  Viewing the world up close through macro photography has become a prominent feature in my work.  This intimate point of view dramatizes the fragility of life.  Being in the moment allows me to find the visual message in simple, everyday objects and events.  My hope is to invite viewers to explore the world around them with fresh perspective.
