Need a great gift idea?  How about creating a photo clipboard?  Super easy.  Super fun!  Go to your favorite office supply store and pick out the size clipboard and writing tablet you want.  Print the photograph of your choice.  I usually print them one size larger than the clipboard.  Create a template by tracing around the clipboard.  Cut your photo in that size.  A number a different adhesive’s will work for this project.  I used Zip Dry.  Most scrapbook and craft stores carry Zip Dry.  Embellish with rub-on titles.  It’s magic!  Who wouldn’t want to write notes all year long on a special memory clipboard?

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, lean your ear this way. Don’t you tell a single soul what I’m going to say.  Santa is coming (or is he?).  Remember when you were a child – the thought of his presence is fraught with anticipation, adulation and unadulterated excitement. Oh to have the feeling of butterfly’s in our stomachs just from the thought of seeing Santa Claus.  Renew that childlike energy in our souls by surrounding ourselves with images of Santa. He is real and he is living, in our hearts.

Reframing the Season

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

A gentle invitation to reconnect can be the best gift you give this season. How do you wrap love? How do you present peace? Remembering the reason for the season; that God sent his only Son, to live amongst the people, to know our hurts, share in our joys, our defeats, our sorrows and our victories. Do as Jesus did by reminding a close friend or family member that you want to give the gift of your genuine love by listening, hearing or just by being there for them.  Leave them with a beautiful faith inspired image as a remembrance of not only your love, but God’s love.  This is a season of giving.  The best gifts can’t be found beneath the tree.

Gift in a Card

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Love giving a Gift in a Card.  Think mini!  You already know that I’m addicted to all things mini.  Money enclosures are one of the initial ideas that come to mind.  Who can’t use a little cash?  A bookmark, (purchased or handmade) is a perfect gift to tuck into a card.  Gift cards can easily find a home inside a card.  Jewelry, return address labels, photographs, recipes, heart-felt note…..the list is seriously endless.
