There’s no doubt about it: those first few months are tough. Adjusting to a sporadic schedule, learning about each other and squeezing in an hour or two of sleep can leave families in a bit of a “baby fog” at first. If you pay close attention, though, those first few months are filled with moments that can’t be defined with words but beg to be memorialized in some way. Those moments that make you well up with tears, inspire your heart to swell so quickly that you feel it just might burst and make you laugh out loud because you saw that first (gas-induced!) grin by your new little companion .

We capture those moments, creating a memory for you to not only remember but to hold, to relive, to cherish.

Lifestyle Photography

Welcome my NEW website!  So thrilled that you are here!  As you browse, you will find stories, oodles and oodles of stories.  People I have met, and people I love have so many stories to tell.  There is a story everywhere,  just waiting to be found.  Lifestyle photography is jump for joy happy in my book.

Lifestyle Photography

Everyone filters what they see through a lens; some filter through tradition, others through memories, still others through wishes. For photographers, the lens is their unique view of the world. Photography as an art has taken countless forms, but when it comes to capturing people on film traditional photography has been posed, stiff and contrived. While those photos serve an immediate purpose–to capture how someone looks at a given moment–traditional photography fails to capture what we’re truly crave: the ability to personify someone in print.

Enter Lifestyle Photography, a radical take on portraiture. Radical because it embraces the imperfections and unique features that make each and every subject beautiful and eschews the outdated thought that only primped is pretty. Taking advantage of natural elements, raw emotion and unbiased perspective, lifestyle photography captures not only a snapshot; it captures a personality, an idiosyncrasy, a moment in time.

Real moments,  the ones that seem so ordinary in the present but in hindsight are truly the most precious, are the heart of Lifestyle photography.  The look between a husband and wife, the protective hand on a child’s back, the nuzzle of a neck; all moments that make our hearts flutter and pulses beat quicker but have traditionally been relegated to memory are now captured on film. These moments now transcend time and space and are, in their truest form, tangible memories.

With an unwavering belief that each subject is stunning, Lifestyle photography captures not only the features but the character of a person.  With a basic understanding that sometimes we are blind to our own beauty, Lifestyle Photography grants us a filter that combines at once an artistic, authentic and spirited glimpse into what others see when they look at the real us.
